~Hope~
The daily reflection/meditation that I have been reading this week is all about ‘hope’ - Hope in Hard Times. I was asked to make this post because I am Trinity Lutheran Council President and also because I am involved. I am one of those who were raised in the Lutheran Tradition but fell away in my college and early adult years. When I started going through ‘hard times’ I had no foundation on which I could stand in meeting the trials of my life. Fortunately, I met some people who had had similar experiences and I was started down a spiritual path, a path which, in time, led me back to the church of my youth, Trinity. At Trinity I have found a Community, a Fellowship of people who have hope, not just for the life that is to come, but hope for here and now. We gather as a congregation to praise our Savior and to have our faith and hope refreshed. And when hard times come, and they come to all of us, this same Community will rally with us and help us sustain our hope. And when we have hope, we can act. Hope provides the basis for us, as a group or as individuals, to move forward with love in a world that has little hope and not near enough love.
